WWF Beaver Trail

On the Beaver Trail along the Rhine, young explorers can find out all about these industrious animals.

Much to the delight of nature lovers, the once extinct beaver has re-established itself in Switzerland.

On the 4 km (2.5 mile) long Beaver Trail near Flaach, young explorers can find many traces of the rodents; gnaw marks on trees or so-called beaver slides bear witness to the presence of these industrious creatures.

Ten information panels and interactive elements along the trail between the landing stages of Tössegg and Rüdlingen also provide a fascinating insight into the life and habitat of the beaver.
