Chäserrugg in Summer

On the Chäserrugg, walkers, hikers and anyone seeking peace and quiet can enjoy an unspoilt Alpine world – complete with breathtaking views.

Situated not far from Zurich, the Chäserrugg mountain attracts visitors with its unspoilt Alpine scenery, peace and quiet, and breathtaking views. At 2,200m (7,218ft) above sea level, the Chäserrugg – one of the seven peaks of the Churfirsten mountain range – lures nature lovers with its wonderful flora and fauna. After the cable car ride up to the summit, they can enjoy a unique combination of modern architecture and spectacular views of 500 mountain peaks in six different countries. Numerous hikes for people of all levels of fitness make an excursion here an unforgettable experience. And with a little luck, you might even spot a colony of ibex.

The summit restaurant designed by the renowned architects, Herzog & de Meuron, unites traditional elements of local handicraft and prealpine nature, making every visit a cultural experience too. Here guests are treated to cuisine inspired by local produce.
