Chäserrugg Summit Restaurant

An architectural masterpiece in Toggenburg at 2,262 meters (7,420ft) above sea level – a sublime place to stop and linger.

Already during the cable car trip up to the Chäserrugg, the panorama simply takes your breath away. And the stunning impression does not get any less when you reach the summit restaurant.

The internationally renowned architects, Herzog & de Meuron, drew their inspiration from the local architecture, but at the same time also placed great emphasis on functionality and frill-free aesthetics. This restaurant is definitely not your typical summit mountain hut.

According to the locals, a particular insider tip is the brunch. But traditional dishes such as Spätzli are also a treat for the taste buds. Occasionally evening events are held, too – such as the highly popular Full Moon Dinner.

Guests who do not want to return to the valley by cable car have a number of picturesque hiking or winter sports routes directly at their feet.
