Confiserie Honold
The Confiserie Honold has been producing exquisite pralines and pastries on Zurich’s Rennweg since 1905.
It would be impossible to imagine Zurich without the tradition-steeped confectioner’s store with the Café Honold on Rennweg. Since it was founded in 1905, the flagship store has been housed in a central location on Rennweg, just off the Bahnhofstrasse. The business is currently run by the fourth generation.
Among the absolute classics of the Confiserie Honold is everything that fits into the pastries and confectionery category: besides Pain de Gênes – a special almond sponge cake made according to a family recipe – this also comprises confections, chocolate, and pralines. In addition, the assortment includes bread and ice cream.
When visiting the café on Rennweg, you should be sure to also try the Bircher muesli.
