On cold winter evenings, there is nothing better than a convivial fondue with friends. The Fondue Chalet on the Zürichberg offers the perfect setting.
High above the rooftops of Zurich, the cozy Fondue Chalet, which is built out of old timber, entices with its crackling open fire, candlelight, and winter culinary delights. Cured meat and sausage specialties are traditionally served as starters. Afterwards, guests can choose between tasty cheese fondue or Chinese fondue with meat from the local butcher’s.
The cheese fondue is available in its classic form or refined with various ingredients: whether chili, beer and bacon, or truffles and champagne, there is something for every taste. The milk for the cheese comes from the Guldenberg farm in Embrach, where the cows are fed on potatoes as well as hay. The evening is rounded off on a sweet note with a home-made Rumtopf with fruit preserved in rum and sugar, cinnamon ice cream, and plum preserve, or with home-made apple tart.
