The Metzgerei Keller is a tradition-steeped butcher shop in Zurich’s Wiedikon quarter. The family enterprise was founded in 1934 and is currently run by the third generation.
The butcher shop is known throughout the city particularly for its popular grilled bratwurst, the Wiedikerli – named for the quarter of Wiedikon where it originated. The sausage can be found in many Zurich restaurants, at major events, and of course in the butcher shop itself. There is also a range of other products that make meat lovers’ mouths water. The firm uses exclusively meat from controlled farms where animals are kept under the right conditions for their species. This is supplemented by prime-quality meat from abroad – including beef from the US or Argentina, and lamb from Scotland and New Zealand.
A daily lunch menu, various spices and other products brighten up guests’ day.
