Platzspitz – a Historic Park at the Heart of Zurich

The Platzspitz is one of the oldest and most historic areas of greenery in Zurich. This large park is situated right in the heart of the city and yet it is remarkably peaceful.

On one side of this triangular park is the Swiss National Museum, right next to the Main Railway Station. Zurich’s two rivers, the Limmat and the Sihl, flank the park’s length and finally come together at the lower end of the park before continuing on their way as the Limmat River.
