Mt. Titlis – a Hiking Paradise in Summer

The 3,020m (9,908 ft) high Mt. Titlis is one of the most popular excursion destinations in Central Switzerland.

From Zurich, the famous Mt. Titlis can be reached in under two hours. Situated on the border between the cantons of Berne and Obwalden, the mountain can be accessed from Engelberg by aerial cableway. The main stage of the trip transports guests to the Stand top station, where they can then transfer to the Titlis Rotair cable car, which revolves 360° during the five-minute ride to the summit.

In summer there are a host of ways to explore the Titlis – with numerous hiking paths, adventure trails, mountain biking trails and via ferratas promising thrills and excitement.

The glacier – the only one in the region – is a popular excursion destination all year round. The panorama of the surrounding mountains is simply breathtaking. A further highlight is the spectacular TITLIS Cliff Walk suspension bridge at 3,041 meters (9,977 ft) above sea level. The bridge is 100 meters (328 ft) long and can be crossed in approximately 150 steps. The walk across the bridge is free and is guaranteed to set your pulse racing.
