Löwenbräukunst-Areal – Art Center

Anyone traveling along Limmatstrasse by tram will see a long brick building by the “Löwenbräu” stop, towered over by modern office blocks and high-rise apartment buildings. “Löwenbräukunst” is written in capitals on the facade. It was here in the historic area surrounding a former brewery that a center for modern and contemporary art was opened in the 1990s, serving as a counterpoint to Zurich’s conservative culture scene.

Kunsthalle Zurich
Temporary exhibitions by international artists reflect the diversity of contemporary art. Visitors of all ages can explore the art scene of today through interactive workshops and tours.

Migros Museum of Contemporary Art
Varied group and individual exhibitions by contemporary artists are displayed here alongside works from the museum’s own collection. A range of workshops and events invite visitors to get involved.

Museum Haus Konstruktiv
Temporary exhibitions reflect the dialog between the pioneers of constructivism and conceptual art and the artists of today.

Galerie Hauser & Wirth
Founded in a Zurich residence in 1992, this internationally renowned gallery now houses exhibitions of museum-quality contemporary art at the Löwenbräukunst-Areal.

Edition VFO
This art institution is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of traditional printmaking techniques. Regular exhibitions by the artists it supports are shown in its rooms on the Löwenbräukunst site.

LUMA Westbau
Luma Westbau houses the exhibition spaces of the Luma Foundation. International projects and exhibitions are presented here, along with talks, workshops, and film screenings.

LOI Bistro
At LOI Bistro, guests can enjoy vegetarian and vegan cuisine and a delicious range of cakes and coffee specialties.
