In the Markthalle in the Viadukt shopping mall, urbanity and tradition go hand in hand. The philosophy here is that honest cuisine should taste just as good as its products.
Simple and tasty “plats du jour” are served at lunchtime, while in the evening, large platters laden with culinary delicacies are placed in the middle of the long tables, so that guests can share and eat together. The wine to accompany the food comes from the Südhang wine merchant, which also sells wines from small artisan vintners in the Viadukt.
The restaurant, with its arched stone ceilings, is spacious and the ambiance – as befits a marketplace – is lively and welcoming.
