The Dolder Grand
The tradition-steeped hotel, The Dolder Grand – which first opened in 1899 as the Dolder Grand Hotel & Curhaus – lies on the idyllic Zürichberg, offering a magnificent view out over the city, Lake Zurich, and the Alps. A total of 175 luxurious rooms and suites invite guests to switch off and chill out, while a 4,000 m2 (43,000 sq.ft.) large spa promises pure relaxation in highly exclusive surroundings. Spacious rooms are available for special events, providing a stylish setting for any occasion.
The Dolder Grand also houses an impressive art collection comprising over 100 works by world-famous artists, such as Takashi Murakami and Salvador Dalí, which take guests on an inspiring journey through the world of art.
Four restaurants, seasonal pop-ups, a gourmet festival, and the Canvas Bar & Lounge make the drinking and dining culture at the Dolder Grand a very special experience:
Awaiting hungry guests in the Saltz restaurant with bar (15 Gault-Millau points) is a modern kitchen serving a wide selection of choice wines. Lovers of fine dining, meanwhile, are treated to culinary masterpieces at The Restaurant (2 Michelin stars, 19 Gault-Millau points), with its exquisite, innovative gourmet cuisine. At the Restaurant MIKURIYA (16 Gault-Millau points), guests enjoy a unique Omakase experience. The culinary offering is further complemented by the outstanding garden restaurant, “Blooms” (15 Gault Millau points).
The hotel’s spacious terraces not only offer spectacular views of the city, Lake Zurich and the Alps, but also invite guests to relax and linger awhile.
The city center can be reached quickly and easily: with the free shuttle service, the nearby Dolderbahn funicular, or the limousine service, which can be ordered on request.
