Ethnographic Museum of the University of Zurich
The Ethnographic Museum is located in the city center in the old botanical gardens by the Schanzengraben – the remnants of Zurich's old city walls.
The Ethnographic Museum houses treasures from all over the world. Art and cult objects from the South Sea to the Arctic Circle reflect the diverse craftsmanship and ideologies of the world’s people.
The collection also includes scripts and an image, sound and film archive.
The museum presents a selection of its treasures in temporary exhibitions in order to highlight specific cultural groups or themes. Film series, workshops and concerts are also featured in the exhibitions.
