World Tourism Day in Zurich and Rapperswil
To mark World Tourism Day*, Zurich’s residents and visitors alike are invited to take part in various free city tours in Zurich or Rapperswil on September 27. There are several themed tours to choose from, which will be conducted in German and/or English. In addition, on the days before, a professional photographer will be out and about in Zurich’s Old Town (Lindenhof, Schipfe, Augustinergasse), taking portraits of guests free of charge.

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has celebrated World Tourism Day on September 27 every year since 1980. World Tourism Day highlights the significance of tourism and its impact on social, cultural, political, and economic values around the world.
How to Register on a Free Tour:
- Browse through the list of guided tours in Zurich and Rapperswil below.
- Select the desired tour, including time, language, and location.
- Click on “Book Now” and follow the instructions.
- The number of participants per tour is limited.
The guided tours are free of charge on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 only. On all other days, normal prices apply.
