Ziegelei Museum

Switzerland’s one and only brick and tile museum welcomes visitors in a forest clearing near Cham.

At the fascinating Ziegelei Museum near Cham, children and adults alike can immerse themselves in the craft of making bricks and tiles by hand. Besides the familiar roof tiles, this handicraft also encompasses structural ceramics made from fired clay or loam, which is featured in a fascinating exhibition.

Children can let off steam at the “Zwergenwerkplatz” (dwarves’ outdoor activity area) and have a go at working with the material clay themselves. In addition, a cart on rails, a barbecue site and a walkway leading to a biotope guarantee plenty of fun.

Meanwhile, their parents can relax in the pretty Ziegler-Beizli restaurant, which serves refreshing beverages and tasty snacks.
