Confiserie Speck

The oldest café in Zug is located on the first floor above the Confiserie Speck.

The café was built as an elegant coffeehouse in 1945. An ongoing process of renovation true to the original style has succeeded in preserving its unique ambiance. Building on the strength of this tradition, its confectioners are constantly creating innovative products that can exclusively be enjoyed at the Confiserie Speck.

The confiserie is now managed by the fourth generation, but the dedication to and promise of perfect culinary enjoyment has remained unchanged. In addition, it sets great store by its commitment to the region: as a result, locally sourced ingredients are used for the specialities of the house, such as the Kirsch cherry brandy for the famous Zuger Kirschtorte. Anyone wishing to find out how this cherry cake is made can sign up for a guided tour.
