Museum Burg Zug – Experience History in an Interactive Way
Zug Castle is the main landmark of the town of Zug. In the Middle Ages, it served as the seat of the ruling classes. It therefore comes of no surprise that the castle, which underwent extensive renovation work from 1979 to 1982, is home to numerous suits of armor and halberds.
But that’s not all: nowadays, the castle houses a fascinating museum on the cultural history of the local inhabitants. On each floor of the castle, atmospheric stagings and interactive stations provide a vast array of exciting and interesting information about the people who lived in Zug.
Special exhibitions provide an in-depth look at current and historical themes. Various programs, such as on 1 August or the annual Swiss Castles Day, continually offer new perspectives on the museum. The castle also invites families to experience history in a playful and interactive way.
