New Hotels and Venues Opening in Zurich

Movecity is a 13,000 m² indoor and outdoor experience world in Affoltern am Albis, opening in August 2026. It combines freestyle sports and activity-based move zones with dedicated meeting and event rooms under one roof. The venue can be used for workshops, corporate events, team-building formats, and other group experiences.

Located in Zurich Main Station, NZZ Bar serves coffee, drinks and a selection of dishes for breakfast, lunch and aperitifs. Around 60 seats and two meeting rooms for 10 to 15 people make it a suitable venue for meetings, workshops and informal gatherings. Guests can also access the NZZ digitally free of charge for two hours.

The historic Hotel Florhof in Zurich’s Old Town reopened as "Villa Florhof" in August 2026. The exclusive boutique hotel by luxury brand Lalique combines historic charm with contemporary luxury. Its 13 rooms, restaurant, terrace, bar, lounge and fumoir, as well as the historic vaulted wine cellar, define the character of the property.

Starting in spring 2026, Das Provisorium will breathe new life into the former city kitchen at Sihlquai for five years. Where school meals were once prepared, Zurich’s hub for sustainable food culture will come to life in a new setting: a space for co-working, food production, and a versatile event venue.

Remise Rosa is an urban garden with a restaurant and bars next to Hardbrücke in Zurich’s Kreis 4. This creative venue carries a year-round summer festival feel and is ideal for aperitifs and dinners for 40 to 310 guests. With 160 indoor seats, events can be planned confidently regardless of the weather.

The legendary Zurich nightclub first opened in 1916. After a brief closure, it reopened in early 2026 with a refreshed concept. The iconic space with the large window front facing the Opera House and Sechseläutenplatz is once again available for corporate events, workshops, or presentations.

The first Moxy Hotel in the city of Zurich is located near Letzigrund. The building of the former H+ Hotel has been extensively renovated and modernized. Guests can look forward to 162 rooms in the signature playful Moxy style. The ground floor now features a lobby area with a modern and vibrant atmosphere.

Prime location and first-class service: The newest Westhive location right at Paradeplatz offers five exclusive boardrooms for meetings in a distinguished ambiance. Open space desks are also available for flexible coworking.

It couldn't be more central: the historic halls and lounges of Au Premier are located right next to Zurich's Main Train Station. Modernly equipped and flexibly combinable, they are ideal for meetings, seminars or festive occasions.

High above Zurich, Bergstube combines cozy charm with elegant Swiss cuisine across four inviting dining rooms. Ideal for aperitifs, business dinners, or events of up to 150 guests.

Switzerland's first boutique hotel of the French chain Mama Shelter opened in summer 2025 in the building of the former Swissôtel in Zurich Oerlikon. This design hotel features various meeting rooms, a restaurant and bar, and a gym.

The Museum Haus Konstruktiv has a new home at the Löwenbräu art complex in the vibrant Zürich-West district. This move places Switzerland's leading institution for constructive-concrete and conceptual art right alongside other renowned Zurich art galleries and museums.

Open since May 2025: memox's newest venue is located right next to the airport within the Novu Campus at The Circle. The location offers bright and flexible meeting spaces with views of the runway and the adjacent park. A bistro with terrace offers space for events with up to 80 guests.

In a former factory hall near Zürich Oerlikon train station, the Swiss Game Hub was founded as an incubator for the Swiss gaming industry. The lofty, airy coworking and event space features an auditorium and three meeting rooms available for hire.

Opening in October 2026, Fred Hotel Central brings a fresh Smart Stay concept to the heart of Zurich. The newly renovated 4-star hotel combines contemporary design, smart technology and personal hospitality, offering a comfortable and convenient base for business travellers and city stays.

The multi-event venue at the former Maggi site in Kemptthal already offers 19 spectacular locations for groups ranging from 5 to 5,000 participants. In fall 2027, the venue will expand to include a Motorworld Inn restaurant in the historic coal bunker, offering around 150 seats. Additionally, a second event hall with a capacity of 2,000 people is being built in the adjacent Kesselhaus.

From Cinema to Capsule Hotel: The former Alba Cinema at Central will be transformed into a capsule hotel with around 30 double pods by early 2027. Respectfully renovated, it offers a new, urban overnight option right in the city center.

In 2028, Urban Loft Zurich opens in the Löwenbräu-Areal, bringing the Althoff Hotels lifestyle brand to Switzerland for the first time. In the converted RED office building, 173 rooms are created alongside an open community space with views over the city, designed for events, pop-ups, and local collaborations.

The Revier Hotel Neuhausen am Rheinfall, featuring 144 rooms and a comprehensive seminar infrastructure, is due to open on the SIG industrial site in Neuhausen in 2029. Located directly on the edge of the site, the hotel offers a spectacular view of the Rhine Falls.
