Sihlcity Shopping Center

The Sihlcity shopping and leisure center in Zurich’s Enge quarter stands on the site of what was once a paper factory. The 65-meter (213ft) tall brick chimney and three other buildings have been successfully integrated into the “city within the city” and bear witness to this past era.

Sihlcity welcomes visitors with a shopping mall, several movie theaters housed in the Arena Cinemas Sihlcity, a fitness and wellness center, various restaurants and bars, and the Papiersaal concert venue.

The youngest visitors can enjoy themselves at the Minicity childcare facility. Awaiting them here are a cuddly toy zoo, a reading bus with a good choice of books, a movie theater with children’s movies and popcorn, and a large art & crafts corner.

At Christmastime, Sihlcity is transformed into a magical landscape with a fondue chalet, mulled wine stands, and market huts.
