Soï28

Inspired by Bangkok’s side streets, located at Augustinergasse 28: At “Soï 28,” modern Asian street food meets Zurich’s Old Town.

The concept behind “Soï 28 by Stefan Heilemann” is simple: to bring the atmosphere of Asian street food to Zurich’s Old Town. “Soï” is the Thai word for Bangkok’s side streets, and the number 28 refers to the house number on Augustinergasse. Together, they form the name of a restaurant that combines “street food” with the signature style of a Michelin-starred chef.

The cuisine is deliberately uncomplicated. Classics like fried rice and “pork belly buns” are served alongside appetizers such as Thai beef salad and homemade gyoza. These are complemented by house specialties like Widder Ramen and a modern take on Tom Yum. Whenever possible, the ingredients come from the farms of “The Living Circle,” of which the Widder Hotel is a part. This creates a fusion of Asian cuisine and regional ingredients.
