The Tonhalle Maag is renowned worldwide as a concert hall with excellent acoustics. Built in 1895, and inaugurated in the presence of Johannes Brahms, it can seat 1455 guests
In recent years, the Tonhalle Orchestra has developed into one of Europe’s leading ensembles. Around 100 highly motivated musicians and a dedicated conductor (Lionel Bringuier since 2014) perform around 100 concerts every season and approximately 50 different programs.

Admission is free for disabled people but accompanying adults must buy a concert ticket. Tickets available solely from the box-office (+41 44 206 34 34).
From September 2017, the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich will perform for three years at the Maag Areal in the Tonhalle Maag. Other ensembles and concert organizers will also use the new concert infrastructure.
