Musée Visionnaire
At the heart of Zurich's old town, the Musée Visionnaire offers a platform for Art Brut and Outsider Art.
A visionary museum in two ways: firstly Art Brut cuts ties with convention. Art Brut artists create personal, so-called raw, impulsive works that are not influenced by the art world. Secondly the museum reverses the process of exhibition design. The public select the works of art to be exhibited while expressing their personal opinion of them.
Another innovative feature is the art library of the museum. Members of the museum association can borrow selected works for a period of four to six months and enjoy these in their own homes.
