From the Bean to the Bar – Chocolate Course
After a short train journey from Zurich to Schindellegi, course participants arrive at the family-run manufactory, Kürzi Kakao. From the cacao bean right through to the finished chocolate bar, only plant-based ingredients are used. During an interactive workshop, followed by a private guided tour (in English), participants learn about the craft of chocolate making and find out all about the history of cacao. They also gain knowledge on how to make their own chocolate at home. Then the "chocolatiering" begins, where the up-and-coming chocolate pros create and decorate six of their own chocolate bars.
The course comes to an end with a chocolate tasting session and a cocoa drink with a chocolate quiz. The entire excursion including the journey there lasts 5 hours – a real treat for all the senses!
