Day Trip to Mt. Titlis 10 am

This adventure excursion to Mt. Titlis, at 3,020m (9,908ft) above sea level the highest vantage point in Central Switzerland, offers plenty of fun and action in the snow.

This guided bus tour takes guests on a beautifully scenic route to Engelberg. From there, a 40-minute ride by modern gondola leads up to the alpine glacier high on Mount Titlis (9,900 feet above sea level). The trip up the mountainside in the Rotair gondola, which rotates by 360°, is itself an incredible experience with unforgettable panoramic views.

During the two-hour excursion on the mountain, guests can visit the glacier cave, travel in the Ice Flyer – a chairlift that offers a spectacular view of the glacier’s crevasses and icefalls – and try out the Fun Lift toboggan run, which is also open in summer. On the Titlis Cliff Walk, courageous visitors can experience the thrill of walking over Europe’s highest suspension bridge, 1,640 feet above the abyss. Alternatively, for an additional fee travelers can make use of the dining options at the summit or at the intermediate station at Trübsee, or visit Titlis Tower – “Landmark of the Alps” – which opened in 2026. In fine weather, the Horizon Deck offers an impressive panoramic view of the Alps.

The return trip includes a one-hour stop in Lucerne – enough time for some sightseeing in the Old Town, including the Kapellbrücke.
The attractions listed are included in the tour and are available provided the weather conditions are good. Additional costs apply for the (optional) visit to Titlis Tower and the Horizon Deck as well as for food and drinks en route.
