The scenic route leads over the Albis Pass to Weggis. From here, guests make their own way up to the summit, Rigi-Kulm, at 1,800m (5,905ft) above sea level – well supplied with relevant information by the tour guide. The trip up to the summit is by aerial cableway followed by a ride on Europe´s very first cog railway.
At the top, visitors can delight in a magnificent panorama of Central Switzerland and the surrounding mountains. The descent by cog railway takes you to Vitznau, where you board a boat for a relaxing one-hour cruise to Lucerne.
Here you have some leisure time to explore the charming Old Town with its famous sights – such as Chapel Bridge, the Lion Monument, the Town Hall, the Jesuit Church, and the KK Culture and Congress Center. The coach then takes you back to Zurich accompanied by the tour guide.
