About the Zürich Excellence Club
The Zürich Excellence Club (ZEC) was founded in 2009 by Zürich Tourism in collaboration with the Zurich Hotel Association (ZHV). The club’s goal is to help employees in the hotel industry and tourism-related businesses continuously expand their knowledge of Zurich as a destination and provide guests with expert advice.
Today, the ZEC is an established platform for continuing education, knowledge exchange and networking within the tourism industry and is managed by Zürich Tourism.
Become a Member
To qualify for membership, the employing organization must be a member of Zürich Tourism and/or the Zurich Hotel Association.
Membership begins with the ZEC introductory course. In this approximately two-hour course, participants receive an overview of the activities of Zürich Tourism as well as fascinating insights into the city and region of Zurich. They also learn more about current developments in tourism and receive practical tips for advising guests on a daily basis.
Membership is free. The costs are covered by Zürich Tourism, and the Zurich Hotel Association supports the offer.
Learn, Experience, and Benefit
Through training sessions, field trips, and events, members deepen their knowledge of Zurich as a destination and experience tourism offers firsthand. The ZEC works closely with partner businesses in the region to make this possible.
Thanks to the ZEC membership card, club members also enjoy attractive discounts from Zürich Tourism and numerous partner businesses.
Network and Stay Informed
An important part of ZEC’s training sessions and events is the opportunity for personal interaction. During a get-together over drinks, participants have the chance to network with industry colleagues and share experiences.
In addition, members regularly receive a newsletter featuring news, event recommendations, and current highlights from Zurich. They are also informed about upcoming training sessions and events and benefit from exclusive opportunities to win prizes for select events.
