Spectacle wearers and eyewear enthusiasts will find the Diepolder Optik boutique between Zurich Main Station and the lively Langstrasse. The company has specialized in bespoke horn-rimmed spectacles for 25 years.
The horn for the glasses come from organically reared yaks in Andermatt, from Scottish highland cattle in Entlebuch, and even from the nearby Hebhof farm in Schwamendingen, in the north of Zurich. The horns would normally be disposed of, but at Diepolder Optik they find a second use ‒ and one that is chic and stylish, too.
At the store on Militärstrasse, customers can receive professional advice and find the perfect bespoke glasses, which ‒ as store owner Urs Diepolder promises ‒ are guaranteed to suit every face.
