Zeughauskeller

The Zeughauskeller, located not far from Paradeplatz, has been a popular meeting place for locals and tourists alike since 1926.

In former times, weapons and ammunition were stored and repaired at the Zeughaus (which means “arsenal storehouse” in German). Today, the weapons on the wall are purely for decoration. Since 1926, the Zeughaus has been a peaceful and friendly gathering place. Here, visitors from all over the world come together with locals and sit at long tables with a refreshing glass of beer.

And as befits a place like this, only good, hearty fare that satisfies even the largest of appetites finds its way onto the plates: sausage & cheese salad, Wiener schnitzel, cordon bleu, and Zürcher Geschnetzeltes are just some of the specialties of the house that are enjoyed by the international clientele.
