On the left bank of the Limmat, directly below the Lindenhof, lies the Schipfe 16 restaurant, which has a social mission. When the weather is nice, guests sit on the terrace by the river, otherwise they dine comfortably indoors.
There are daily changing lunch menus, always including a vegetarian option, prepared with seasonal and regional ingredients. The soft drinks are produced in Switzerland; those who prefer water can order “Züri Wasser.”
The restaurant provides jobs for welfare recipients, unemployed youth, and people with disabilities, and supports them in their (re)integration into the workforce.
