Kraftwerk Café & Restaurant

The building of the former Selnau substation near the centrally located tram stop, “Stauffacher”, is full of surprises. Imposing and mighty on the outside, inside it presents itself from a more cheerful and relaxed side.

A total of 22 shipping containers stacked on top of each other divide the high-ceilinged hall into two areas: while the rear section is used for events and concerts, the front part accommodates the Kraftwerk Café & Restaurant. With its cozy living room furnishings, the latter invites visitors to linger and enjoy the vegetarian delicacies on offer. The space can also be used as temporary meeting rooms or workplaces.

At lunchtime, the daily menu features a choice of soups, salads, and specialties. In the evening, the focus is on sharing, whereby guests select three to five vegetarian dishes and share them with each other.
