With its small but select menu and attentive hospitality, this locale fits in perfectly in the relaxed Albisrieden quarter.

Some people say that Albisrieden is a village. This might sound a bit disparaging, but in fact it is meant in a charming way. For the Zurich quarter radiates a relaxed atmosphere – as does also the Brasserie Freilager, which lies right in the middle of it.

Here, in what used to be a custom bonded warehouse, things are no longer piled up high, but enjoyed at leisure. All the food served here meets the highest of requirements, yet at the same time is uncomplicated and frill-free. While the choice on the menu is small, the products have been carefully selected – and the portions are generous. The beef from the Argentinian farm owned by former singer with the Yello electro-pop band, Dieter Meier, is said to be a real treat for the taste buds.
