This stopping-off point is a must-visit for anyone enjoying an excursion up the Uetliberg. Whether guests have hiked up the mountainside or traveled in comfort by train, the cozy Bergstube is sure to whet the appetite as soon as they arrive. The waitstaff serves up authentic Swiss classics: Zürcher Geschnetzeltes (Zurich-style sliced meat), Chäshörnli (Switzerland’s answer to macaroni cheese), cordon bleu, and cheese fondue. The tempting dessert menu includes crème caramel, apple strudel, and meringue from Emmental. If it’s too difficult to choose, guests can opt for the Tavolata to try a number of different dishes shared with friends.

The restaurant is right by the mountain station on the Uetliberg railway line, opposite a large playground.
