Guests feel like they are sitting in a chalet in the snowy mountains when they visit Baracca Zermatt, which – though its name may suggest otherwise – is not far from Zurich Airport in Kloten.
What initially sounds like something to do with barracks turns out to be a real gem of a venue in the middle of a tranquil park. Inside a large chalet, cheese lovers are greeted with pure alpine style ‒ with chairs covered with fur blankets, rustic wooden tables, and even a fireplace, which fills the room with the cozy sound of a crackling fire.
In the cold winter months, a variety of delicious cheese and meat fondues and Valais cheese raclette are served. In summer, the menu includes tasty burgers made with premium meat, and other classics like cordon bleu and steak tartare.
