The legendary Fischerstube is much more than simply a restaurant on the lakeshore. With a kiosk, garden, jetty, lounge, fisherman's hut and lakeside terrace, the Fischerstube is embedded in a little village all of its own.
Naturally, the menu features many fish dishes with fish from Lake Zurich or nearby waters, but there are also classics like Zürich Geschnetzeltes or vegetarian dishes. While guests at the Fischerstube are looked after by service staff, the kiosk and the Fischergarten offer visitors, walkers, and bathers self-service.
The Fischerstube and/or individual buildings can be rented for events.
Built on piles in the lake in 1939 for the National Exhibition, the building was destroyed in a fire in 1957 and subsequently rebuilt. From 2019 - 2021, original parts were restored and an identical replacement building was constructed on the same site, as the individual buildings, and in particular the piles of the original construction, were in poor condition.
Due to the constantly changing Covid 19 measures, it is currently impossible to keep all opening hours on the zuerich.com website up to date. Therefore, please check the website of the respective businesses or institutions before visiting a restaurant, shopping or museum.
We thank you for your understanding and wish you a pleasant stay in Zurich.
