Fischerstube Zürihorn

The legendary restaurant is clearly visible from the lake.

The legendary Fischerstube is much more than simply a restaurant on the lakeshore. With a kiosk, garden, jetty, lounge, fisherman's hut and lakeside terrace, the Fischerstube is embedded in a little village all of its own.

Naturally, the menu features many fish dishes with fish from Lake Zurich or nearby waters, but there are also some of Zurich’s culinary classics and vegan or vegetarian dishes. While guests at the Fischerstube are looked after by service staff, the kiosk and the Fischergarten offer visitors, walkers, and bathers self-service.

The Fischerstube and/or individual buildings can be rented for events.

History/Architecture:

The Fischerstube was built in 1939 on piles in the lake for the National Exhibition. The building was destroyed in a fire 18 years later and subsequently rebuilt. From 2019 - 2021, original parts were restored and an identical replacement building was constructed, as the individual buildings, and in particular the piles of the original construction, were in poor condition.
