The Flumserberg winter sports resort lies between Zurich and Chur. From Zurich, it is an ideal place for a day’s skiing – although a longer stay is also well worthwhile in order to enjoy the snowy mountain world and the wide range of winter sports to the full. Everyone can hit the slopes here – from beginners to pros, whether on skis or snowboards. Those who prefer pristine snow away from the masses can go on a ski tour or snowshoe trek. In addition, there are 20 km (12.5 miles) of cross-country ski trails and a 3 km (1.9 mile) long sledge run. A particularly memorable experience is a Nightride, when the slopes are floodlit in the evening for skiers or toboganners.
