Einsiedeln in Summer

The Einsiedeln region in Canton Schwyz offers enormous variation – with sports, nature, culture and religious places of interest.

Einsiedeln is the most visited place of pilgrimage in Switzerland, but has so much more to offer than just the impressive monastery. The village’s natural landscape and numerous ways of being active provide plenty of variation.

In Einsiedeln, those who love hiking will find both simple and challenging routes. In addition, nature lovers can explore the beautiful mountains, meadows and forests by mountain bike or race down into the valley on a giant push scooter. Airboarding, paragliding and many other sports are also possible – even a ski jumping hill, which is used by the Swiss squad athletes in the summer as the main training center, where you can book guided tours. Einsiedeln lies on several national routes, such as the Heart Route, which is the official e-bike route in Switzerland.

Besides all the various sporting adventures, there are, of course, enough quiet spots where you can simply sit and enjoy the fresh air or some tasty food.
