Zurich Architecture Center ZAZ Bellerive
With the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology ETH and around 1,400 architecture firms, Zurich is a veritable architecture city.
For this reason, the ZAZ invites the public at large to discuss the roles that urbanism, space, architecture, and the environment play in our lives – both now and in future. It is a meeting place, an exhibition space, and an event and mediation center that focuses on issues relating to building culture. The ZAZ also reflects on the perception of architecture, urban planning, and theory and sees itself as a mediator between experts and interested parties.
Housed in a picturesque villa on Lake Zurich, the ZAZ enables people to actively experience the concept of space in spectacular surroundings. The building, which was designed by architect Erhard Gull in 1931, impresses with its spacious rooms and round-arched windows opening onto the lake.
