Lichthalle Maag
December 10 – May 30, 2023
This 360-degree experience showcases the life and works of Art Nouveau pioneer Gustav Klimt by means of high-performance video projections, as well as special lighting and acoustic effects.
The immersive production featuring Klimt’s work, “The Kiss”, represents the culmination of his “golden phase”, with which he achieved international fame. This captivating and impressive work, together with many other portraits of women and landscape paintings, are instilled with new life through music and a dazzling world of color.
Based on the model in Paris, the Atelier des Lumières, the Lichthalle MAAG presents great artists and their famous works quite literally in a completely new light. Visitors do not stand in front of the painting in the traditional way, but “immerse” themselves in it.
Art can thus be experienced in an entirely new way. Children and young people, in particular, can experience a totally new approach to the great masters through animations and accompanying soundtracks.
