Lichthalle Maag
August 10 – October 30, 2022
The expressive artist’s creations and life are at the heart of this immersive exhibition, presented using high-performance video projections and light and acoustic effects.
When the flowers of Claude Monet's famous paintings suddenly move, don’t worry – you haven’t gone crazy! No, you are standing in Zurich’s first immersive light museum.
Based on the model in Paris, the Atelier des Lumières, the Lichthalle MAAG presents great artists and their famous works quite literally in a completely new light. Visitors do not stand in front of the painting in the traditional way, but “immerse” themselves in it.
Art can thus be experienced in an entirely new way. Children and young people, in particular, can experience a totally new approach to the great masters through animations and accompanying soundtracks.
