This tour begins with a city tour to the main sights of Zurich. The coach then follows the shoreline of Lake Zurich to Rapperswil, known as the Town of Roses, with its picturesque Old Town and medieval castle. With the spectacular Alpine panorama always in view, the journey continues to Vaduz, the capital city of the Principality of Liechtenstein, where you have some time to explore under your own steam. In Maienfeld, you can visit the various locations that figure in the world-famous “Heidi” story and – from mid-March to mid-November – also Heidi´s village, which is home to a pretty village store, the Heidihaus Museum (admission optional), and of course lots of goats.
The alternative program during the winter months takes in the village of Werdenberg – a fabulous world of mountains, valleys, lakes, waterfalls and gorges. The route back to Zurich leads along Lake Walen, at the foot of the majestic Churfirsten mountain chain.
