On this small-group tour, participants discover the rural side of Switzerland. Entlebuch is a UNESCO biosphere, featuring unspoiled moorlands and rolling hills. The tour continues to the idyllic Emmental valley and pays a visit to the Kambly Experience in Trubschachen. Here you can sample the most famous cookie brand in Switzerland and watch the master bakers at work.
On arrival in Berne, you can burn off a few calories during an informative guided stroll through the Old Town. The characteristic arcades, the famous Zytglogge clock tower, the Gothic cathedral (Münster), and the Parliament building are designated as UNESCO World Heritage sites. Subsequently, you have some free time at your disposal to have lunch (not included) or shop for souvenirs.
In the afternoon, the tour continues to the show cheese dairy in Emmental. During the audio-visual «King’s Way» tour, guests learn all about the production of the famous cheese. After a cheese tasting session, it is time to head back to Zurich. There is also a photo stop at a picturesque vantage point to capture the day with a worthy snapshot.
