The headquarters of FIFA has been based in Zurich since 1932. It is located on a spot overlooking the city, between Zurich Zoo and the hotel, The Dolder Grand.
The Fédération Internationale de Football Association has paid tribute to the most popular sport in the world in a very special way – by creating the FIFA Museum in the Zurich-Enge quarter of the city.
The museum appeals also not only to soccer fanatics, but also to those who know little about the sport. With over 1,480 pictures from the earliest days of soccer history, more than 1,000 exhibits, and 500 videos of all the FIFA member countries and World Championships since 1930, the FIFA Museum leaves a lasting impression on all its visitors.
A particular highlight for the young and young-at-heart is a minigolf-style obstacle course on the second floor where they can test their ball skills.
Besides a host of unforgettable experiences and emotional memories, the FIFA Museum offers its visitors sports-related souvenirs from the Museum Shop, as well as a choice of culinary refreshments in the Sportsbar 1904.
