    Jogging through Zürich-West

Zurich’s trendiest quarters can also be explored running! This route, recommended by On Running, takes you on a 5 km (3 mile) run through the city’s former industrial district.

Pull on your running shoes by the riverside swimming facility, Flussbad Oberer Letten. From here, the route follows the tranquil course of the river past the Flussbad Unterer Letten to the Hardturmsteg bridge. On the other side of the river, you head back to Escher-Wyss-Platz and the Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst. This is followed by a short run through the urban quarter, past residential buildings and restaurants, before the imposing Prime Tower suddenly looms up in front of you. Take a moment to admire this striking building before continuing on to the distinctive Freitag Tower and up on to the viaduct. From here, it is just a stone’s throw to the original starting point at Oberer Letten.

Cool off by taking a refreshing dip in the River Limmat.
