Seasonal and regional products are a matter of course in the restaurant directly opposite the Opera House. Executive chef David Krüger even gathers berries, herbs, and mushrooms himself in the nearby nature areas.
In the elegantly yet freshly furnished restaurant, exciting combinations of local herbs and contemporary cooking methods result in pleasurable experiences with natural ingredients. Guests can order 3- to 6-course Inspiration Menus or choose one of the classics from the menu. These include beef tartare, Zürcher Geschnetzeltes, and fresh fish caught daily from Switzerland’s rivers and lakes.
Incidentally, the restaurant also offers an Opera Guarantee: the staff bet that, starting 90 minutes before the Opera, guests can eat three courses in a relaxed manner and have the check on the table 30 minutes before the start of the show. Otherwise the restaurant will pay the bill itself.
