This tiny island in the middle of Lake Zurich is a real paradise far removed from the hustle and bustle – an unspoiled nature reserve with a restaurant set in magnificent natural surroundings.

Here guests can enjoy some time out in peace and quiet – as well as treat themselves to first-class regional cuisine at the Restaurant zu den zwei Raben.

The vegetables, meat, bread, and beverages are all sourced in the region. The restaurant offers space for 350 guests outside under leafy plane trees. And if the weather does not play along, indoors there is room to seat 80 people. Incidentally, the idyllically situated island of Ufnau is a great place for wedding ceremonies, as it is home to a church and a chapel both dating from the Middle Ages.

The island can only be reached by water, either on a scheduled boat trip or with Ufenau’s own shuttle service. Of course, there are also moorings for private boats.
