Amboss Rampe

Not just for fans of the in-house Amboss beer: at the Rampe, there is something for each and every taste.

In the past, this building has served many purposes – the horse stables of the city police, a warehouse, an automobile body repair shop, and later a sales outlet for Amboss beer and Noir coffee. Nowadays, however,  it houses the Amboss Rampe bar, which is a club, cultural house and restaurant all in one.

From a distance, the rather conspicuous building covered in graffiti appears to grow out of the Brockenhaus second-hand store on Josefstrasse. The interior comprises a mixture of industrial and vintage style with a lot of shabby-chic – stacked-up crates topped with wooden boards serve as bar tables, old pieces of equipment from the automobile body repair shop have been converted into lounge tables, motor parts are used as decorations, and a huge glittering disco ball hangs from the ceiling.

The activity program is varied, but Mondays have established themselves as the day when hip-hop ping-pong is played.
