Zurich Aviary and Bird Sanctuary
On the banks of Lake Zurich, you can find the Zurich aviary and bird sanctuary on the Mythenquai. Here you can admire a wide range of birds.
At the Zurich aviary, bird enthusiasts and (amateur) ornithologists can admire various local and exotic birds. The attractive indoor and outdoor enclosures contain a wide range of birds, some very rare. In addition to colorful favorites such as the toucan and various types of parakeet, there are also some less striking yet no less interesting local birds on display.
The aviary also operates a bird “guesthouse” and a shelter for injured birds or birds which have fallen from the nest. Creatures in need of assistance are often treated here.
The outdoor aviaries are accessible all year round.
