Kümin Weinbau

Now in the fourth generation, the Kümin family in Freienbach on Lake Zurich devotes themselves to growing and selling wine.

Their vineyards included tradition-steeped sites around the upper part of Lake Zurich. These produce a rich selection of regional quality wines, which the Kümin family have been cultivating over four generations since 1902.

Whether Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, or the Zurich grape variety, Räuschling: at the family business, around 20 employees work day in, day out with great enthusiasm to produce regional wines with character. The product range also includes first-class spirits, such as Etzel Kirsch cherry brandy, and liqueurs.

With its own spirits and liqueurs, as well as events such as the “Treberwurstessen” (Treber sausage meal) in January – which is known far beyond the region – or the “Schlemmerei in der Brennerei” (feast in the distillery), the winery is also a popular meeting place for locals and wine lovers from all over the world.
