Inline Skating in Zurich

Skaters are welcome on these popular in-line skating routes in the Zurich region.

Anyone who likes getting around on the wheels of in-line skates, rollerblades or roller skates is constantly looking for suitable places to do so. In Zurich, skaters – whether novices or pros, speed-lovers or those who prefer a more leisurely pace – can enjoy fascinating and well signed (violet logo on a red sign) skating routes.

For example, the track around Zurich-Kloten Airport is almost 50 km (30 miles) long, while the route in the picturesque lake landscape around the Greifensee – which can be reached from Zurich by public transportation in just 20 minutes – covers a distance of 20 km (12 miles).

In addition, “Monday Night Skate” events are held on Monday evenings during the summer months. In fine weather, experienced skaters (the event is not suitable for beginners) gather at Bürkliplatz at 7.00pm.
