Sechseläuten, Knabenschiessen, Zwingli, the banks, and many more. The jubilee exhibition at Zurich’s central library shows what has shaped Zurich, both in the past and in the present day.
The exhibition, “Typisch Zürich!”, at the university library takes visitors on a journey back in time that explores various topics. Depending on their personal interest, guests can find out all about Zurich’s history, or discover more about specific themes, such as everyday life, education, politics, economics, and religion. Typical for Zurich are, for example, trams, Uetliberg, Zwingli, Pestalozzi, Sechseläuten and Knabenschiessen. However, this exhibition also features objects whereby visitors first have to think about why they are “typically Zurich”.
