Museum of Anthropology – University of Zurich
How do researchers uncover the mystery of our origins? The anthropological museum of the University of Zurich offers insight into evolutionary biology.
"Traces of our ancestors" is the name of the exhibition at the Museum of Anthropology. Here fossils and tools guide visitors through the cultural and biological development of mankind. Looking at replicas of the different types of people over the past 3.5 million years, the theory of evolution is tangible. Early hominid finds from Switzerland are also part of the exhibition.
In addition, the museum focuses on the study of apes. The behavior of our closest relatives permits us to draw further conclusions in regard to our own development.
