The Swiss Museum of Contemporary and Classic Arts and Documentary Photography enjoys international acclaim for its exhibitions.

With its pictures ranging from art to documentation of the ordinary, this Swiss Mecca of photography captivates more than just hardened fans. The Winterthur Museum of Photography enthuses fans with contemporary collections in addition to the temporary exhibitions for which it is renowned.

The museum operates in collaboration with the Fotostiftung Schweiz association. It also includes a bistro, library, lounge and shop.

From June 2023 to spring 2025, the exhibition rooms will be closed for renovation and conversion work. During this time, events and workshops as well as mediation offers for schools and groups will continue to take place.
